50 years of Eye Film

We celebrated something truly special at Eye Film this month—50 incredible years of storytelling, creativity, and innovation.

Our journey started with a simple mission: to bring stories to life through the lens. Over five decades, we’ve created everything from 10-second promos to documentaries like The Trials of Amanda Knox and BBC Our Lives. We’ve worked with some of the UK’s biggest broadcasters, including BBC, ITV, and Channel 4, and even launched John Peel’s legendary record collection.

For the last 23 years, Norwich has been our home. We are based right on St George’s Street, and it’s been an honour to play a part in this city’s vibrant creative growth. We’re especially proud of our partnership with the Media Learning Company at City College, helping to nurture local talent.

At Eye Film, we believe in storytelling with purpose. Whether it’s education, arts, science, or renewable energy, we love using our craft to make a real impact.

Hitting the 50-year mark makes us reflect on our journey—on our late founder Frank, on the amazing team we’ve built, and on the supportive community that’s been with us all the way. And while we’re proud of what we’ve achieved, we’re excited for what’s next.

An amazing evening was had by all at Cinema City on December 18th celebrating!
